This is a LAND PARK SOCCER update for the 2012 season
Thank you to all of our coaches, players, referees and volunteers for a fantastic season in 2011.  LPS plans to continue to improve the soccer experience for our community in 2012.  Our Recreational Season will be starting August 1st, and  there will camps and clinics before then. Here are some key updates for you –
 
REGISTRATION –
Mail In Registration for the Fall 2012 season will begin on March 15th. The forms will be available on the website, so please be sure to check back for instructions and a registration packet in early March. Our in-person Registration dates will be April 18th and April 26th at Cal Middle School. Please check the website for regular updates.
 
TRAINING –
Land Park Soccer will be hosting some free training and skills clinics throughout the Spring and Summer. These training sessions will focus on technical skills to develop touch, dribbling, ball control, passing and defending. Please check the website for dates & locations.
LPS will be offering two separate camp opportunities over the summer the tentative dates will be June 25-29 and July 23-27.
 
COACHES –
Land Park Soccer is always looking for committed and dedicated volunteers to coach our teams.  If you are a returning, new or interested in potentially becoming a coach, LPS will be offering several coaching clinics and workshops – stay tuned. There is a entry level coaching clinic available on April 27 & 28in River Park.  To Register, please visit the following website: www.sysl.com.
Land Park will have a Coaches Meeting on May 8 at Cal Middle School at 630pm.
 
REFEREES –
Land Park Soccer will continue with its Referee Development program. If you are interested in becoming a referee and/or improving your officiating skills, please attend our upcoming clinics. We do have Spring soccer games, we do need Referees! We will be offering referee certification classes shortly so please check the website for dates. It is also recommended that you join the local referee group: www.ccsra.net. For more information on refereeing in Land Park, please email us: landparkrefs@me.com
 
EVENTS –
Land Park Soccer has three key events, so please save the dates:

• Land Park Cup - August 18 & 19 – This tournament is geared U9, U10, U11 select/competitive soccer teams
   
• Land Park Picture Day and Kick Off festival – September 9th
   
• Land Park Kick It Event – October 13 & 14 - This Tournament/Jamboree will be for u8, u10, u12, u14, u16 and U19 recreational teams
