Pirates Playing Spring Soccer !!
On April 13th, the Land Park U12G Pirates team will play their opening Spring soccer game. The Pirates decided to compete in the Cal North - Cal Soccer League (CCSL) Spring League because it offers recreational teams a chance to play more competitive teams during a developmental season, with maximum roster flexibility, and an emphasis on player development and participation.
This means any player registered in your same league in the Fall may play as guest players in the Spring and you can add new players who were not registered in Fall but just want to play Spring. So although the majority of the Pirates playing this Spring have been playing together since they were 5 or 6 years old, the team also has one brand new player who has never played soccer before, one guest player from an East Sac team, and a few guest players from other Land Park teams. The Pirates will be playing in the Valley Region which includes teams from Natomas, Davis, Tracy, Solano, and Atwater. The team knows the season will be challenging but they are going into it with the same fun and fiesty spirit the Pirates put into all their games. The coaching staff said "I'm not sure if we'll win all of our game in the Spring but I know they'll have a lot of fun playing soccer in the nice Spring weather and we'll be better off in the Fall for all the extra touches on the ball this Spring."
Go Pirates! Aaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghhhh!
